Félix Pyat (1810 - 1899)

Born in Vierzon in 1810, a lawyer, journalist and author, throughout his life he was an activist and above all a great orator. Elected in 1848 and 1849 under the Second Republic, he was condemned and exiled several times. He joined the AIT in 1864 and founded newspapers that were soon banned. Bloody Week. After returning from exile in London in 1880, he was elected Senator for Cher in 1887 and Deputy for Bouches du Rhône in 1888. He died in the Val d'Oise in 1889.
