Louis Adrien Lucipia (1843 - 1904)

Louis Adrien Lucipia
Journalist, Grand Master of the Grand Orient de France, writer and politician. He became involved in opposition journalism under the Empire. Captain during the siege of Paris, he took part in the Commune and contributed to the " Cri du Peuple "by Jules Vallès and Père Duchêne. Deported in 1871 to New Caledonia, he returned after the amnesty in 1880. He became a town counselor, was elected to the Conseil Général de la Seine (Seine Departmental Council) and chaired the town council in 1900. He was then appointed Director of the Villejuif asylum for the insane.
