And happy nightingales and mockingbirds
Will all be celebrating!
The beauties will have madness on their minds
And the lovers sunshine in their hearts!
When we sing the time of cherries,
The mockingbird will sing much better!

But how short is the time of cherries,
When we go dreaming out together picking 
Pendants...
Cherries of love like roses,
Falling under the leaves like drops of blood...
But how short is the time of cherries,
Coral pendants we pick while dreaming!

When you get to the time of cherries,
If you are afraid of heartbreak,
 Avoid the beautiful ones!
I, who am not afraid of cruel sorrows,
I will not live without suffering one day...
When you get to the time of cherries,
You will have love pains too!

I will always love the time of cherries:
It is from that time that I keep in my heart
 An open wound!
And Lady Fortune, being offered to me,
Can never close my pain...
