Eugène Hochet (1846 - 1920)


Hochet Eugène was born on 11 January 1846 in Nogent sur Seine (department of Aubagne) and worked as a wholesale coal merchant. During the Commune, he was a second lieutenant in the Engineers. On 10 December 1872, the 16th Versailles War Council sentenced him in absentia to deportation to a fortified enclosure. He was arrested on 10 September 1874 and on 5 October 1874, the 3rd Council of War sitting in Paris sentenced him to 6 days in prison. He died on 10 September 1920 and was buried on 14 September 1920 in the Montparnasse cemetery.
