Lucie Marie Moilin (1840 - 1916)

[Geolocation to be confirmed]📡

She is the widow of Tony Moilin.

Tony Moilin was a doctor. On 18 March he had occupied the town hall of the VIth arrondissement but withdrew a few days later and was content throughout the Commune to provide care for the wounded.

He was arrested at his home on 27 May and dragged off to the Luxembourg court martial. Although he did not support the Commune, he declared himself to be a supporter of the universal Republic and equality among men. He was sentenced to death as one of the leaders of socialism. It was around midnight.

Tony Moilin had asked to regularise his relationship with his partner, who was pregnant at the time. He talked to her all night and in the morning, at eight o'clock, the mayor of the Sixth Arrondissement performed the marriage ceremony. Moments later, Tony Moilin fell to his killers.

His body, which had been claimed by his wife, was thrown into a mass grave and orders were given for it not to be found.
